AUDREY BUCKLEY

Quiet, sweet, talented, committed. Just a few of the words that come to mind when thinking of our featured rider, Audrey Buckley. What began as a “pony ride” at age 4 aboard VPF’s beloved lesson horse, Patti, has evolved into a 10+ year career in the saddle with many more years and rides ahead. One of the most dedicated, hardest-working persons anyone will encounter, this 14-year-old young lady is on a path to greatness. Audrey is a top student and a talented artist who is very humble about her gift. She’s equally gifted in her passion for all things equine.

Not afraid to dig in. A person who recognizes the need to “earn her hobby” Audrey can be found in the barn each weekend helping with riding lessons, prepping show horses for work, cleaning tack — just about anything that needs to be done. She works each VPF camp as a counselor, happily sharing her love of horses and horsemanship skills with the next generation. She serves as the president of the VPF Stirrup Squad, helping younger riders learn the joys of horses and giving back to the community.

Versatile. Audrey’s riding career began in the Academy ranks, earning championships and state titles in Academy Walk-&-Trot Equitation On Line as well as Academy Walk-&-Trot Performance and Equitation. She moved out of Academy at an early age, earning numerous blue ribbons aboard Dolce La Vita & the game mare, Gospel Song, in Walk-&-Trot Pleasure, before taking the next steps aboard CH Picante. In 2018, her dream of having a horse of her own came true when Out To Tango came to Texas and made Audrey “his kid.” With a lot of hard work and time, the two have become an elegant team in the Hunter Pleasure division and look forward to great success.

The eldest daughter of Robbie and Yulia Buckley of Magnolia, TX, this young lady is one of VPF’s finest protégés, and we look forward to continuing to share her journey into adulthood.
